머리카락이나 깃털, 기타 줄 등을 힘주어 뽑거나 뜯는 행위입니다. 현악기를 손가락으로 뜯어 연주하는 것도 포함됩니다.

일반적으로 털이나 머리카락을 뽑거나, 현악기를 손가락으로 뜯어 연주할 때 씁니다('plucking eyebrows', 'plucking a chicken', 'plucking the guitar'). 'picking'이나 'pulling'과 혼동하지 마세요.
