Usage Notes (Hindi)

आमतौर पर यह अनौपचारिक या न्यूट्रल अभिव्यक्ति है। लोग इसका उपयोग होते वक्त बुरी खबर या गलती को कम गंभीर दिखाने के लिए करते हैं, अक्सर चिंता या शर्म से बचने के लिए। आम प्रयोग: 'play down the risks', 'play down the incident'। इसे 'play up' (ज़्यादा दिखाना) से न मिलाएँ।
