一種可以單手握持和射擊的小型手槍。 "Pistols" 是 pistol（手槍）的複數形式。

常用於正式和中性場合，如新聞報導。指單手操作的手槍，不包括步槍或獵槍。有時也出現在"water pistols"（玩具水槍）等用法。和“左輪”有所區別。
