'Piller' अंग्रेज़ी में बहुत पुराना और दुर्लभ शब्द है, ज़्यादातर ऐतिहासिक या साहित्यिक संदर्भों में मिलता है। आज के आम इंग्लिश में 'looter' या 'plunderer' कहा जाता है। इसे 'pillar' (स्तंभ) या 'pillager' से न मिलाएँ।
