哲学や人生、意味、知識について深く考えること、あるいは落ち着いて考える態度を表す言葉。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「philosophic」は「philosophical」よりややフォーマルで、頻度も少なめ。同じ意味で使えるが、深い思索や冷静な態度、議論などに。哲学者そのものを指す場合はほぼ使わない。
