害虫害獣

Definition

植物や作物、食べ物、財産に害を及ぼす小さな動物や虫のこと。迷惑な人やものにも使われます。

農業やガーデニングでは「害虫」や「害獣」としてネズミ、ゴキブリなども含みます。迷惑な人を指す場合「pest」単数で使います。

Farmers use chemicals to control pests in their fields.

農家は畑の**害虫**を駆除するために薬剤を使います。

Pests like rats can damage food stored in homes.

ネズミのような**害獣**は家に保管された食べ物を傷つけることがあります。

The garden is full of pests eating the leaves.

庭には葉を食べる**害虫**がたくさんいます。
