Definition

周囲長とは、図形やエリアの外側をぐるりと囲む線の合計の長さです。数学や幾何学で使われ、全ての辺の長さを足したものを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に数学、建築、防犯などの専門領域で使います。「perimeter」は単数形、「perimeters」は複数形に注意。「parameter」（パラメーター）とは別の意味です。「perimeter of the field」のように“of”と一緒によく使います。
