Definition

「パテル」は主に神父など宗教的な意味や、古典・ラテン語で父を指す時に使われる、非常に格式ある語です。現代日本語ではほとんど使用されません。

教会や歴史学でのみ登場し、日常会話では使われません。「pater familias」のような用例が代表的です。「父」（ちち／おとうさん）とは異なります。
