Definition

과일이나 채소를 깎을 때 나오는 얇은 껍질이나 조각. 적게는 불필요한 부분을 잘라내는 행위도 의미함.

'사과 껍질', '감자 껍질' 등 요리에서 자주 사용됨. 복수와 단수 모두 사용 가능. 'pairing'(짝짓기)과 혼동하지 않도록 주의.

I put the apple parings in the compost bin.
