他や他のものよりも圧倒的に強い存在を指し、倒すことがほぼ不可能な状態。または完全に支配・制圧されたことも表現する。

主にゲームやスポーツで、バランスが崩れるほど強いキャラクターや武器に使われる（例：「an overpowered weapon」）。一般的に圧倒的な強さや不公正な有利さにも使う。動詞の受け身としても使う。
