এটি এমন একটি অংশ যা বেস বা ভিত্তি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে, যেমন ছাদের প্রান্ত বা পাহাড়ের অংশ উপরে বেরিয়ে থাকে।

'overhang' সাধারণত প্রযুক্তিগত, স্থাপত্য বা ভৌগোলিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'roof overhang', 'rock overhang' ইত্যাদি শব্দগুচ্ছ দেখা যায়।
