특정 장소나 집단 밖에 있는 사람, 장소, 사물을 의미하며, 주로 고립된 상황에서 밖의 세상을 나타낼 때 쓴다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

사회, 세상과 차단된 곳(감옥, 수도원 등)에서 바깥 전체를 말할 때 주로 사용된다. 단순히 '밖'이 아니라 내·외 집단의 대비를 의미.
