カワウソは長い体と密な毛を持つ水生のほ乳類で、川や湖の近くに住み、水辺で遊ぶのが好きです。

「カワウソ」は複数形として使われ、複数の動物について話すときに用いられます。自然番組や水辺の動物について語る際によく使われます。ビーバー（ダムを作る動物）とは異なります。
