将来、一定の価格や期間で何かを買う、使う、または制作する権利を確保すること。主に本や映画、財産などに使います。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
ビジネスやエンタメ、法律分野で多く使われます。“Optioned a book”は書籍を購入したのではなく、映像化の権利を得たという意味です。受動態で使われることも多いです。単なる「選択」とは違います。
