Definition
Birisi 'nöbette' olduğunda, normal çalışma saatleri dışında bile acil bir durumda çalışmaya ya da çağrıya cevap vermeye hazır olur.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Daha çok doktorlar ve teknisyenler için kullanılır ('nöbetçi doktor'). 'On duty'den farklıdır, aktif çalışmak değil, hazır beklemek anlamına gelir.
