Definition

まだ活動や仕事、分野に慣れていない、基本から学んでいる人のこと。

「novices」はややフォーマルな場面で使われます。「初心者」とほぼ同じ意味ですが、完全な未経験者を指します。「amateur（アマチュア）」より経験が浅い場合に使います。
