'Norte' es la dirección en una brújula opuesta al sur y generalmente está en la parte superior de los mapas. También se refiere a regiones situadas en la parte norte de un lugar.

Se utiliza para geografía ('el norte de España'), direcciones ('ve al norte') y clima ('viento del norte'). Usa mayúscula para regiones ('el Norte'). Suele combinarse con 'sur', 'este', 'oeste'.
