Usage Notes (Hindi)

आमतौर पर औपचारिक सेटिंग्स में (नौकरी, पुरस्कार, चुनाव) प्रयोग होता है। अक्सर पद के साथ आता है ('nominate to the board')। 'appoint' (औपचारिक रूप से नियुक्त करना) से न बदलें। प्रायः पैसिव वॉइस में ('was nominated to')। पुरस्कार के लिए 'nominate for' इस्तेमाल करें ('nominated for best actor')।
