어떤 것이 부정적이면, 그것은 나쁘거나 해롭거나 희망이 없음을 의미합니다. '부정적'은 거절, 존재하지 않음, 수학‧과학에서 0 이하임을 나타낼 때도 씁니다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

‘negative attitude’, ‘negative effect’, ‘negative review’, ‘negative number’, ‘negative test’에서 자주 쓰입니다. ‘Negative’는 ‘bad’보다 분석적이고 중립적으로 들릴 수 있습니다. 특히 ‘negative test’는 병이 발견되지 않았다는 뜻일 수 있습니다.
