Definition

ネガティブは、悪いこと、有害なこと、希望がないことを意味します。また、否定的な返事や、何かが存在しないこと、数学や科学でゼロより小さいことも表します。

「negative attitude」「negative effect」「negative review」「negative number」「negative test」などの表現でよく使います。「negative」は「bad」より分析的・中立的な響きがあります。「negative test」は悪い結果ではなく、病気が見つからなかったという意味になることが多いです。
