Definition

নেক্রোসিস হলো দেহের কোনও স্থানের কোষ বা টিস্যু মরে যাওয়া, সাধারণত রক্ত চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে গেলে বা আঘাত বা রোগের কারণে এটা ঘটে। আক্রান্ত অংশ ঠিক হয় না এবং প্রায়ই অপসারণ করতে হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'নেক্রোসিস' শুধুমাত্র চিকিৎসা বা বিজ্ঞানের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়, দৈনন্দিন কথোপকথনে সচরাচর দেখা যায় না। 'টিস্যু নেক্রোসিস', 'সেলুলার নেক্রোসিস' ইত্যাদিভাবে শোনা যায়।
