神話や伝説に登場する、想像上の存在や現実には存在しないものに使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「mythical」は主に生き物や場所、物語に登場するものを指します。文学的やフォーマルな場面で使われることが多いです。「legendary」（伝説的な）とは意味がやや異なります。
