Birine veya bir şeye yaklaşmak; bir yer, hedef ya da fikre doğru ilerlemek. Hem fiziksel hem de mecazi anlamda kullanılır.

Hem fiziksel yaklaşma hem de soyut bir hedefe ilerleme anlamı taşır. 'move towards a solution' problem çözümüne yaklaşmak demektir. 'move forward' ise genel ilerlemeyi belirtir, belirli bir hedefi belirtmeyebilir.
