Definition

একটি পর্বতের নিচ থেকে ওপরে পর্যন্ত যে ঢালু অংশ বা পাশে বিস্তৃত থাকে, সেটাই 'mountainside'।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'mountainside' শব্দটি কেবল পাহাড় বা পর্বতের ঢাল বা পাশ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, আশেপাশের সমতল বা উপত্যকা বোঝাতে নয়। 'climb the mountainside', 'on the mountainside' প্রভৃতি শব্দগুচ্ছতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ছোট টিলা হলে 'hillside' ব্যবহার করুন।
