会議中に、団体が特定の行動を取ることを決めるために出される正式な提案。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

この表現は主に公式な会議（理事会や委員会など）で使われます。たいてい後に具体的な行動が続きます：「〜する動議」。一般的な意志や物理的な動きとは異なり、手続き的な言い回しです。
