蚊（か）

Definition

細長い体と長い足を持ち、人や動物の血を吸う小さな虫です。種類によっては病気を運ぶこともあります。

『蚊』は単数・複数で形は同じです。英語のように他の小さな虫（gnatやmidges）と混同しないようにしましょう。

There are many mosquitos near the lake in summer.

夏は湖のそばに**蚊**がたくさんいます。

Mosquitos bite people and animals.

**蚊**は人間や動物を刺します。
