Definition
人がとても恥ずかしかったり、プライドが傷つけられたりするような強い屈辱や恥ずかしさを感じる状況や出来事のこと。多くは人前で失敗したときなどに感じる。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
普通の「恥ずかしい」よりも強く、特に公開の場で大きくプライドが傷つくときに使います。日常会話では「恥ずかしい」「みっともない」が一般的です。
