性的な目的で不適切に触れる、害を与える、または困らせる行為を指します。特に子供を対象とした性的虐待を意味しますが、広い意味では嫌がらせも指します。

法律用語で、主に児童への性的虐待を指します。日常会話ではほとんど使われず、正式な場や報道で使われます。「困らせる」など軽い意味では使いません。
