Definition

他のグループや流れ、特に車の交通の中へスムーズに入り合流すること。また、誰かや何かが集団の一部になる時にも使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に車が高速道路などにスムーズに合流するときに使う。また、人がグループに入る時も使う。'blend in'（目立たなくなる）とは違い、単に参加・合流する意味なので注意。
