Definition
দয়া, ক্ষমা বা সহানুভূতির কাজ; সাধারণত ধর্মীয় বা আনুষ্ঠানিক বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং অনেক দয়ালু কাজ বোঝায়।

‘Mercies’ শব্দটি ধর্মীয়, কবিতার বা পুরোনো ইংরেজি ভাষায় বেশি শোনা যায়। প্রাত্যহিক কথায় ‘kindness’, ‘forgiveness’, অথবা ‘compassion’ ব্যবহার হয়।
