Mentol, nane bitkisinden elde edilen ve güçlü bir nane kokusu ile tadına sahip bir maddedir. Genellikle ilaç, diş macunu ve şekerleme gibi ürünlerde serinlik hissi vermek için kullanılır.

Hem bilimsel hem gündelik dilde kullanılır. 'menthol cigarettes', 'menthol cough drops', 'menthol flavor' gibi ifadeler yaygındır. Doğal veya sentetik olabilir. 'Nane' bitkisiyle karıştırılmamalıdır ama yakın ilişkilidir.
