जब कोई दूसरी चीज़ उसी समय हो रही हो, या किसी दूसरी घटना के होने से पहले के समय को बताना हो, तब इसका उपयोग होता है। यह दो घटनाओं या स्थितियों को जोड़ता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह शब्द बोलचाल और लिखित अंग्रेज़ी दोनों में आम है। यह अक्सर वाक्य की शुरुआत में comma के साथ आता है: 'Meanwhile, ...'. 'in the meanwhile' भी मिलता है, लेकिन 'meanwhile' और 'in the meantime' ज़्यादा आम हैं।
