Definition

かつて裕福な家や貴族が所有していた、大きな屋敷や土地のこと。主に建物とその周辺の土地を指す。

主に歴史や文学で使われ、『manners（マナー）』とは異なるので注意。イギリスやヨーロッパの語りでよく登場し、『manor house』などの表現がある。
