分かりにくいことや混乱したことの意味を理解すること、もしくは説明できるようになること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

抽象的な事柄や気持ち、不明瞭な状況に使われる。物を組み立てる時には使わない。'can't make sense of...'は「理解できない」、'try to make sense of...'は「理解しようとする」。
