Genellikle güçlü, ani ve amaçlı bir hareketi ifade eder. Sıklıkla bir nesneyle birlikte kullanılır ('lunge for the ball'). Resmi değildir. Sadece 'lunge' ile karıştırmayın; bu kelime bazen sadece öne atılma anlamında kullanılır.
