"lowlands" in Spanish
Definition
Áreas de tierra que están a menor altura que el terreno circundante, a menudo cerca de ríos, mares u otras masas de agua. 'Lowlands' se usa en contraste con 'highlands'.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Principalmente en geografía, casi siempre en plural. Se usa con mayúscula para regiones específicas (‘Scottish Lowlands’). Opone a 'highlands'. No se usa para ciudades o ambientes urbanos.
