Definition
'Lowdown' বলতে কোনো বিষয়ের সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বা আসল ঘটনা বোঝায়, যা সাধারণত অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ভাগ করা হয়।

এটি অনানুষ্ঠানিক; তথ্য চাইতে যেমন বলা হয় 'give me the lowdown'। 'Lowdown' কুখ্যাত বা অন্যায় কাজ বোঝাতেও ব্যবহার হয়, যেমন 'a lowdown trick'।
