누군가 또는 단체에게 더 이상 호감이나 지지를 받지 못하게 되는 것. 인기가 떨어지거나 평가가 낮아질 때 사용한다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

비즈니스, 정치, 사회 등에서 주로 사용되며, 제품이나 트렌드 등 인기 하락에도 쓴다. 'lose face'(체면을 잃다)와는 다르니 주의. 'lose favor with someone'은 특정인의 신임을 잃는다는 뜻.
