Definition

কিছু অংশ, বিশেষ করে গাছ বা উদ্ভিদের ডাল কেটে ফেলার কাজ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। অপ্রয়োজনীয় বা বাড়তি অংশ মুছে ফেলার ক্ষেত্রে বেশি ব্যবহার হয়।

'Lop' সাধারণত 'off' এর সাথে ব্যবহৃত হয় (যেমন 'lop off a branch')। এটা গাছপালা নিয়ে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হলেও অন্য বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রেও ব্যবহার হতে পারে, এমনকি রূপক অর্থেও।
