一個地方如果安全、舒適、適合人居住，就是適合居住的。也可形容可以忍受或可接受的情況或環境。

多用來描述住宅、城市、氣候等是否適合居住。英式英語也可拼寫為 “liveable”。有時也用於描述可忍受的情況。通常不用於形容人或動物。
