一个地方如果安全、舒适、适合人居住，就是适合居住的。也可以形容可以忍受或可接受的状况或环境。

多用于描述住宅、城市、气候等环境是否适合居住。英式英语亦可拼写为“liveable”。有时形容可忍受的情况。一般不用来形容人或动物。
