Definition

लिखे हुए शब्दों, संकेतों या चिन्हों को देखकर समझना। यह किसी चीज़ से जानकारी समझने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है, जैसे 'नक्शा पढ़ना' या 'चेहरे का भाव पढ़ना'।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Read' किताबों, निर्देशों, संकेतों, भावभंगिमा या मूड समझने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। सामान्य वाक्यांश: 'read a book', 'read out loud', 'read between the lines'। ध्यान दें: इसका भूतकाल ('read') अलग उच्चारित होता है ('red')।
