Definition

会社などの事業を終了し、資産を売却して負債を返済する手続きです。一般的に何かを完全に取り除く意味でも使われます。

ビジネスや法務、金融分野で主に使われる正式な表現です。たとえば “forced liquidation”、“order of liquidation”、“go into liquidation” の形で使われます。日常会話ではほとんど使いません。

The company announced its liquidation last week.

その会社は先週**清算**を発表しました。
