とても澄んでいて透明、または分かりやすいこと。特に水や空気、文章表現について使われる。

フォーマルで文語的な表現です。『limpid water』『limpid prose』のように自然や文章で多く使われます。『lucid』は思考の明晰さで使いますので区別しましょう。
