"let off" in Korean

Definition

누군가에게 벌을 주지 않고 넘어가 주거나 책임을 면하게 해 주는 것. 또한 폭죽이나 총 등을 터뜨리거나 발사한다는 뜻도 있다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 권위자가 벌을 주지 않고 'let off with a warning'처럼 넘어갈 때 많이 씁니다. 'let off fireworks'는 폭죽을 터뜨릴 때 사용. 'let out'과 혼동하지 않기.
