পা দিয়ে জোরে ঠেলে দ্রুত উপরে উঠে যাওয়া বা কোথাও যাওয়া। এটি উত্সাহ বা আকস্মিক পরিবর্তন বোঝাতে ও ব্যবহার হয়।

'leaped' 'leap'-এর অতীত; শারীরিক জাম্প বা হঠাৎ সাফল্য বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেমন 'leaped over the wall' বা 'leaped ahead in science'।
