リーグに所属する人、特に野球やバスケットボールのようなスポーツリーグの選手のこと。一般的に組織化されたグループのメンバーを指すこともある。

主にアメリカ英語のスポーツ文脈で使われます（例: 'major leaguers'、'minor leaguers'）。日常会話ではあまり使われません。
