バスケットボールで、リングに向かいながら近距離からボールをシュートする動作。比喩的に、とても簡単な仕事やチャンスも意味します。

主にバスケットボール用語として使われますが、日常会話では「ラクな仕事」という意味にもなります。「layupを決める」など動作や成果を表します。
