Definition

旋盤は木材や金属などの材料を回転させて切削・成形する機械です。

主に工業や木工、金属加工で使われる専門用語です。「旋盤を使う」「旋盤工」などの表現がよく使われます。「旋盤」と「ラッチ」（金具）は意味が異なります。
