潟湖潟

Definition

潟湖是由沙洲、珊瑚礁或其他天然障礙物與大海隔開的淺水水域。這類水體多在靠近海岸的地方，水質可以是鹹水或半鹹水。

「潟湖」專指靠近海岸、由沙洲或珊瑚礁部分與大海隔絕的淺水域，與內陸湖泊不同。常見說法如「沿海潟湖」、「珊瑚潟湖」。
